One of the important verse concerning the Word of God is Hebrews 4. 12. “For the Word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” (Hebrews 4:12 NKJV)

The Word of God is Jesus Himself.

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God… and the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.”(John 1:1, 14 NKJV)

Both the new and the old testaments are the Word of God. The old testament announces the coming of the Word of God where as the new testament announce that He has come! When Jesus came, we see a real shift in the approach of God to man. We see a loving and forgiving Father in Jesus. One may wonder have God and His character changed? In the old testament, God is a God who points out the minute mistakes of man and punishes it. But in the new, He is the one who bears the penalty of the sins committed by His people. Is this a contrary? No, not at all. The Word of God clearly teaches that the law was given to diagnose the sin problem where as the Word of grace was given to heal the sickness of sin.

[su_quote]The Word of God revealed in Jesus is more sharper than the old testament law. The ministry of Moses is circumcising man in the flesh which makes no change to his heart. But the Word of God revealed in Jesus is a two edged sword which pass through any stony heart to make it soft and sensitive. It circumcises the human heart.[/su_quote]

“For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh; but he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the Spirit, not in the letter; whose praise is not from men but from God.” (Romans 2:28, 29 NKJV)

Zacchaeus was a Jew who had circumcision with a knife in the flesh which could not change him. But the loving words of Jesus which is the sharp two edged sword of the spirit transformed him instantly.

The Word of grace of Jesus is more powerful than any religious rituals or laws of man to change him and make him good! So let us preach the Word!!

You have a great capacity within you- to dream, to desire.

You are powerless to do many things by yourself. God can help you. But God needs something from you to work on. That is your desire and dream. Jesus asked the paralytic man “do you want to be healed?” Once a blind man cried out to Jesus ” have mercy on me”. But Jesus asked him “what do you want me to do for you? “While a healing session is going on do that question make any sense as everyone knows that what he needs is eyesight. But what Jesus meant is that even though he do not have eye sight, he should have an insight about the eyesight he is going to receive. Many people, even believers prayer is “have mercy on me” and “bless me”. But God wants you to tell Him what really you want. A general request of “bless me” do not need any faith. But a specific prayer needs a lot of faith and it will work. So pray with desire and step out to fulfill the desire and you can see God’s hand going forward to remove every obstacles on your way.

Brother/ sister, your desire decides your future!

Many a times we wait for the Lord to act. But we can see some people in the Bible who acted ‘ahead’ of the Lord. One of the best example for this is the lady with the issue of blood took her healing by touching the helm of the garment of Jesus while He was walking surrounded by a big crowd. See what happened there. “And Jesus, immediately knowing in Himself that power had gone out of Him, turned around in the crowd and said, Who touched My clothes?”(Mark 5:30 NKJV)

I don’t have to wait for a ration card as an Indian. I am entitled to receive one as a citizen. The only thing I have to do is to go to the authority and receive. I am the one to receive. It is already sanctioned for me.

There are many believers wait and wait and wait for the Lord’s time to come. But when He came, His time also came! It’s your time! Receive your blessing by faith and acting upon it. Let us enjoy the blessings of His first coming and wait for His second coming!
